Dr. Victor Gong
Dr. Victor Gong is our practice leader. He is an outstanding dentist who takes the time to connect with patients and treat every patient with compassion. Dr. Gong attended the University of Manitoba, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD). During the course of his studies, Dr. Gong received several academic and clinical awards for excellence including: the Mary Jane Ego Scholarship, the Dr. F.W.L. Hamilton Scholarship, the Sophee Kanee Memorial Prize, the Manitoba Blue Cross Dental Scholarship, the Shaw Laboratories Ltd Scholarship, the Elsevier Science Canada Health Sciences Award, the McNicol Research Scholarship, and the University of Manitoba Merit Award. Dr. Gong has published in the peer reviewed Journal of Dentistry.
Dr. Gong believes in evidence-based treatment and enjoys practicing all aspects of dentistry. At our Amherstview Dental Clinic, Dr. Gong uses the latest dental technologies to improve patient experiences and outcomes.
Dr. Gong prides himself on creating a comfortable and relaxing environment for all his patients, and providing them the very best care in that space. Dr. Gong is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, the Ontario Dental Association, the Canadian Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Gong likes to stay current and is constantly refreshing his knowledge by attending continuing education courses.
Dr. Gong began his dental practice in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In 2018, Dr. Gong and his wife made Kingston their home. They are proud members of Amherstview and Kingston communities.

Dr. Sumeeta Warraich
Dr. Sumeeta Warraich is a talented and kind dentist. Dr. Warraich grew up in Newmarket, Ontario. She attended the University of Toronto, where she earned her Honours Bachelor of Science, graduating on the Dean’s Honours List. As a result of high academic distinction, Dr. Warraich received an Ontario Scholar Award during her undergraduate studies before pursuing her graduate studies, completing her Master of Science in Physiology at Western University. During the course of her Masters studies, Dr. Warraich was awarded the Western Graduate Research Scholarship, as well as the Schulich Scholarship for Medical Research for her outstanding work in the field of Spine and Musculoskeletal Biology and Health. Dr. Sumeeta has presented her research at numerous conferences and received awards as a result. Dr. Sumeeta’s publications have been recognized in top-tier peer-reviewed scientific journals within her field.
Dr. Sumeeta earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Western University, where she received the Centennial Orthodontic and Pediatric Dentistry Award, recognizing her excellence in the discipline. During her studies, Dr. Sumeeta was active within the dental community in various student societies, a mentorship program, and community outreach activities.
In her spare time, Dr. Sumeeta enjoys art, dance, and spending time with her family and friends. She loves being involved in the community and is a strong advocate for mental health and mentorship.
Dr. Sumeeta enjoys providing dental care at Lakeview Dental. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, and particularly loves working with children. For Dr. Sumeeta, the best part of dentistry is connecting with her patients and making them comfortable in receiving excellent treatment. Dr. Sumeeta is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and the Ontario Dental Association. Dr. Sumeeta identifies as a life-long learner and enjoys staying current in the field by attending continuing education courses.
Dr. Robert Smith, Emeritus
Dr. Robert Smith, originally from Windsor, Ontario, graduated dental school at the University of Western Ontario in 1986. From the beginning of his career, Dr. Smith enjoyed the artistic element of dentistry, creating smiles for patients that are beautiful and functional in a comfortable and relaxing environment.
Dr. Smith completed an internship at St. Joseph’s and Victoria hospitals in London, Ontario, where he received training in hospital-based oral surgery, pediatric and special needs dentistry. Dr. Smith practiced as an associate in London before purchasing a small solo dental practice in 1987 where he began serving Amherstview and surrounding communities. He has loved serving these communities ever since. In 2005, Dr. Smith opened Lakeview Dental to accommodate a growing patient family. He takes great pride in Lakeview Dental’s state-of-the-art dental clinic in Amherstview.
Shortly after moving to the Kingston area, Dr. Smith met his wife Brigit. A native of Kingston, Brigit worked for the Frontenac Children’s Aid Society for more than 20 years. Together, they have a daughter, Sydney, and a son, Simon. As a family they enjoy skiing, traveling and outdoor recreation. Dr. Smith has been an active participant in a variety of sports along with volunteering as a youth hockey and soccer coach.
Dr. Smith stays current with the newest in Implant, Complex Restorative and Cosmetic dentistry, and is one of the few area dentists to offer Sleep Dentistry and Conscious Sedation. Active professional memberships include Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, Canadian Dental Association, Ontario Dental Association, Kingston and District Dental Society and Limestone City Study Club.
Dr. Smith retired at the end of 2020 after 30+ years of practice. We wish Dr. Smith all the best in his well-earned retirement!
